    Thad for Senate campaign stops at MSU and JSU

    The Thad for Senate campaign made a stop at Mississippi State University and Jackson State University this past weekend for both schools’ homecoming games.  Tents were set up in order for football fans to stop by and get Thad t-shirts, stickers, yard signs, push cards, and more. Check out pictures from both events below.

    The Thad for Senate Campaign is coming to a football game near you!!

    THAD FOR SENATE FOOTBALL TOUR 2008


    Sept. 13            Mississippi State University V. Auburn
                            -The Mississippi State College Republicans will have a tent set up in the Junction, so stop by, visit, and get some Thad gear to wear at the game!

    Sept. 13             Pig Pickin’ Festival @ Delta State – Delta State University V. Arkansas-Monticello
                            -Senator Thad Cochran and Senator Roger Wicker will participate in the Pig Pickin’ Festival at Delta State University, and both will then attend the DSU football game at 6 p.m.

    Oct. 4.              Ole Miss V. University of South Carolina

    Oct. 11             University of Southern Mississippi V. Boise State
                            -Senator Thad Cochran will be introduced on the football field at half-time.

    Oct. 25             Jackson State University V. MS Valley – JSU’s Homecoming

     

    Mississippi Delegation secures funding for our universities

    JSU center gets $6 million to study natural disasters

    Jackson State University’s Homeland Security Center of Excellence will receive more than $6 million in federal funding to study natural disaster impact, mitigation and response.
     
    The award, announced today by U.S. Sens. Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker and 2nd District Rep. Bennie Thompson, will fund research topics that include protecting infrastructure and populations, enhancing post-disaster recovery, improving disaster-related communication, and enhancing critical supply chain resiliency.
